Lazy Day

Hello everyone – today was a pretty lazy day. I woke up at 10 (I actually slept until my alarm went off! WOW!), sent some e-mails, had a little breakfast and went to class at noon. After class I grabbed some lunch with Karlie and Sarah, and I also booked my ferry back to Athens on the 27th. Mom – I know I haven’t e-mailed you this yet, but I will e-mail more details. After lunch we went to the beach for awhile and then I came back to my room. I’ve been trying to download the Photoshop trial this afternoon and it’s kind of been a struggle – still haven’t gotten it to work. I also cleaned my room and did a little bit of laundry in my sink – that was interesting! My friend Ali who lives next door has a clothesline on her patio, so I have them hanging there to dry – hopefully they’ll dry pretty quickly. I’ve been watching American TV all afternoon – turns out my TV does work. I watched an old episode of Young and the Restless, and then some Extreme Home Makeover, and now I’m watching House. They are all in English, but they have Greek subtitles – it’s pretty cool!

I haven’t really written about my program yet. There are around 30 of us – and only 2 guys! Everybody is so great! They’re all so much fun and it’s so fun to get to know people from all over the country! We have so many trips throughout the week to different islands, so the days that I have class are kind of relaxing for me because I’m actually around here and can go to the beach!

Well, that’s all for now – might be going out for awhile tonight. Tomorrow we go to Naxos and leave at 11. Mom said that’s more of an agricultural island, so I’m pretty excited to see it!

Oh yea!! My show cow Tracy had a heifer a couple days ago – Kirsten let me know via facebook. I knew she was due while I was in Greece and I had just recently seen a Greek word – Erene – which means Peace, so I wrote that down in my phone to remember it, and now I have a Greek heifer named Erene!! I’m super excited!
